My Aspire 5 machine has ubuntu and windows dual booted OS. When I switch from either of the two, My Drivers get corrupted. The one which I was able to recognize is my LAN driver, everytime I've to install it or reconfigure it. I can't remove my ubuntu for personal reasons and I don't think it's messing up my PC. Please help.

    (1) What is your full model number?
    (2) What was the original factory-installed operating system if any?
    (3) What Ubuntu version and flavor? What Windows version?
    (4) Is it running BIOS or UEFI bootstrap?

In Windows, press the WINkey + Rkey. Enter msinfo32. In the right panel is BIOS mode, either UEFI or LEGACY. Also in Linux terminal enter parted -l to see if its on a GPT or MBR partition. Jack E/NJ

Open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power button do' in the left pane. Click 'change settings that aren't currently available'. Scroll down and uncheck box for fast startup. This disables fast boot and should force Windows reload the correct Windows drivers on a cold boot. Accordingly, if you're in Linux and want to change to Windows, then you should shutdown, not restart. Same if you're in Windows and want to change to Linux, shutdown, not restart. Jack E/NJ

Can you please provide the more optimal solution? It's taking quite a time to boot windows and with every boot it's messing with my battery driver. Please Help!

Fast boot retains memory from the previous session which can cause issues in dual boot mode when switching from Windows to Linux as the two operating systems use different ways of accessing the laptop hardware. Slow boot should not affect battery driver only boot time and battery drain if not plugged in. You can turn fast boot back on if you typically don't continuously switch back and forth between Windows and Linux all day long. Jack E/NJ
