Aspire F15 laptop How to use external monitor with laptop lid closed

Is there a way to setup my laptop to run an external monitor as the only display (can do this) but close the laptop lid and not deactivating the external monitor display?  Since the laptop has not external power button, I have to open the lid to power up.  How do I operate the laptop with the lid closed?

    not all laptops can be operated with closed lid.

     

    i don't own your model but you can check:

    1) BIOS if it has a lid option/setting (normally Acer laptops don't have it)

    2) windows power options/actions on lid and set "nothing" on lid closing

     

    by the way, as i wrote, if a mechanical or sensor check is not configurable, you can't do pretty much.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
