Hey Yall,
Recently my charger has been acting funky, sometimes working sometimes not. Finally it stopped supplying power, I checked this with an electrical tester. Since I use my laptop for work, I bought a new charger. My old charger was 19.5v, and my new one is 19v, and noticeably smaller in size. I then plug my laptop in to play my daily game of LoL and I experience extremely low fps, around 30-50 compared to my usual 150. Whilst I'm in game, the charger stops charging, therefore drops my fps. However, if I alt-tab and quickly unplug my charger then plug it back in, it works for a few more minutes. I think I've figured out the problem, but I'm avoiding ordering a new charger off amazon. With some research I've found out that the computer is drawing more power then the power supply can provide, which also baffles me because its only a .5v difference. Also, I've looked at my performance in task manager and its normal before I launch a game (2.80ghz) then drops to 0.2-0.7ghz. I think it caps your performance because it missing some power.
I'm looking for a manual fix to do at home, and not buying a new charger. Please let me know anyway I can fix the problem with the old charger or uncap my devices preformance. Please let me know as I'm desperate to use my laptop
Thanks in advance
