hey,
i got the predator 300 laptop with i7 and 1060gtx.
when i play games the the laptop gets really hot sometimes.... sometimes theres spots i cant touch for more than 2 sec because of how much its hot.
lately i play new heavy game (far cry 5). the cpu and gpu is ofcourse good enough for this game, but still the laptop gets really hot sometimes when i play it for more than like 30 minutes. 2 times it exited the game, i assume because of the heat.
last time it happened i went to the predator sense and it said cpu temp is 86, thats not good i assume?
what can i do?

Hi Butchervdcr, I would request you not to touch the laptop when it is hot as it is consider as safety issue and need to check in the repair center why it is getting hot.

This is normal. Check out the pinned threads on this forum that explain how to do undervolting and such to help with this issue. Undervolting will not void warranty.

My G3-572 was 80-90 with peaks to 95 before i did undervolting of CPU and GPU, and now it is at 60-70 with peaks to 75.

10/10 would recommend following Hotel Hero's videos I have the Helios 300 with the i7-8750h and 1060 as well, undervolt using either throttlestop or Intel XTU, heres his guide for throttle stop

And make sure you optimize your laptop as well. You can do that using this video here.

On a personal note, the cooling design on this laptop isnt the best, so a slight elevation or a cooling pad would also help keep your temps down. I bought on on amazing for like 20 bucks.

After I did all of that my temp hasnt gone over 90°c once. Even after hours of gaming.

My temps are 40-cpu 35-gpu on idle and on gaming ultra settings on all games (including latest) 68-cpu 67-gpu all this after i repasted with kryonaut dropped down by 20++ also have in afterburner core clock +200 and memory clock +230 which is pretty awesome by my way of viewing it

You could do it if you predator does not have any seals in any screw it would not void it :)
