So i've bought this laptop 2 days ago and i've bought it for college and some gaming of of course. The problem is that when playing Need For Speed Payback the CPU heats up too much from 90-94 C and throtling some times from 3.9 GHz to 3.7 GHz but quickly coming back. So is this normal, I assume it isn't and what should i do besides disabling turbo boost to keep temperatures from going that high.
At idle and some not demanding games the temps are allright.

    Hi,
the same problem here, looks like it's common problem for this model, but there is a little help. Undervolt your CPU by Intel Extreme Tunning Utility. Even -100mV reduce temperature by -10 degrees. It's not difficult, just read a little bit about it.

Well after searching i did undervolt mine to -180 mV stable but still under load temps go from 80 - 92,94 now depending on whats happening and the weird thing is that the temps dont stay at one point usually they go up and down quickly. Guess i just have bad paste and im not willing to replace it until my waranty runs out so bummer 2 years of waiting. Found some kind of workaround tho by limiting the turbo boost frequency on throttlestop to aprox 3.1 ghz on heavy games which keeps my temps at 70 C more less. Otherwise i keep it at 3.9 GHz.
