Hello, I have recently owned an Nitro 5 AN515-53-55G9 since this August and I am really enjoying it so far. However I have some questions regarding the laptop.
1) Is there any way to buy a new battery for the Nitro 5 AN515-53-55G9? Because I am concerned about the battery dying out. Also, how do I increase the total battery capacity?
2) Can the WD Blue 1TB 3D NAND 2.5 SSD fit the SSD slot? Also, which magnetized screwdriver is the best for opening the SSD storage slot?
3) Can adding an SSD and another 8GB of RAM increase battery life for my laptop?
Suggestions and answers are very welcome.

Hi,
Yes you can buy battery for your model, you can use AC14B7K or AC14B8K battery.

2.Yes WD 1TB SSD will fit in the HDD bay, you don't need a magnetic screw driver to open the HDD bay hatch door, any small size Philips screw driver will do the job.
3. Battery life depends on the usage, so it's hard to say whether upgrading RAM and SSD will improve the battery life.

I'm assuming this was Oct 2018, so hope this is in time. When handling the screws in the HDD/SSD storage compartment, be very careful to not drop them. There are holes in the compartment into which they could fall and require removing the entire laptop baseplate to recover the screw. One might try putting a small piece of cloth over the holes while handling the screws. Do NOT use cellophane tape or other plastic material as you could expose circuitry to high static charge from the plastic. It's possible as you will be handling the HDD/SSD interface adapter and the drive itself...both of which are sensitive to static charge.2
