Hi,
My laptop is Acer Predator 17 G9-793. My laptops charging jack which goes into the laptop becomes very very hot while charging while at the same time my CPU, GPU, System and adapter temperature is normal. Only the charging jack heats very badly. Does anyone know a solution to this?

Hummm this is a weird one what about the adapter block itself does it gets very hot too (hot is normal) and the cable ? it might be a defective jack dunno best to do its maybe contact support and let them know what is going on

Would agree with xapim. I have the same model. The power brick gets hot but never noticed the jack going into the laptop heating up. Is the battery wear level high?  Can't hurt to do a battery reset. Could be crud in the jack increasing resistance or dinged connectors making a bad connection. I would get it checked out to be sure. You don't want to stress your motherboard over time even if everything seems normal now. Take a look to see if you have a store/repair shop nearby that might let you use a different power brick for 10 minutes to narrow down the cause. Hope it is nothing.

@nikhilsjoshi Are there any other devices sharing power from the same supply point? Are there power fluctuations at your place? I would recommend getting a power stabilizer and avoiding too many devices connecting to the same outlet.

My power brick is not heating at all. You can say its just warm as a normal power brick. Did the battery reset 2 times already, no visible sign of any dust in the charging port. I noticed my jack jacause third time my pc suddenly shut off, so I was checking every component when I noticed my jack becoming too hot. Anywas now I am sending it for repair to acer.

    Thaks for comments.

No, no power sharing from same outlet, no fluctuations. it heats up when I am gaming or watching videos on youtube mostly high quality. So it heats up on heavy load, and becomes warm on normal load. Still it should not at all heat up . I think something inside the charging port of laptop causing a resistence therefore the current flowing is into the laptop is less than what actually supplied by the brick and thus the remaining current is causing the heating issue. I am sending over my laotop for repair now to acer.

    Thank you for comments.
