It's cool, did the restart fix the issue? If not, look at the keyboard:

On your keyboard, there is a Windows key which looks like a flag, press and hold it and then press the alphabet and that will bring up the Run command. A box will be there for you to type stuff. In the box, type taskmgr and press enter. A box will open, now simply just press the alphabet and it would select Windows Exploreronce it is selected, press the delete key. After that, press Windows and R again for the run command again and then type explorer.exe and that might bring the cursor back. If not, try to restart the computer properly m8. This will probably fix the issue once in for all.

    Try this:

"The touchpad seems to have sleep code of it's own and will remain in a sleep state after you have opened the lid.  This is a design flaw (suspected).  The work-around is to hit CTRL-ESC and use the arrow keys to navigate down to the "Shut Down", "Hibernate", "Log Out", "Lock", "Sleep" function of the start button menu options.   Select "Sleep" and let you laptop go to sleep.  It should be completely in sleep mode in 15 to 20 seconds.  Once it's in a sleep state, hit the ESC key and it will awake up with the touchpad mouse functionality restored."

It’s back! I didn’t try the last thing but had tried a Registry Editor thing before which hadn’t worked so I changed that back, restarted and hey presto! Hurrah! Thank you so much 😊

greetings I currently use an acer desktop computer with windows 8, everything is working fine, I received the notification that they will not continue giving technical support after September 30, the question is, the files that I have on my pc as photos, videos , documents will automatically be erased or is it simply that they will not give more technical support in a certain case, clarify that, thank you

Uninstall the apps, too. You have to go beyond the control panel.
