Hello,
I just ordered thermal grizzly conductonaut on newegg,my cpu hits 95 every time i play a game, gpu is always below 60 though so i wanted to change the thermal compound from stock to liquid metal,do i need to keep anything in mind before doing it, has anyone done it on this laptop before any reply is appreciated

Also i want to push the the limits and change the plastic fans to metal(aeroblade) ones, does anyone know where can i get them, i tried asking acer they said they wont replace fans and dont know where can i buy

    Sure I did.
Just a heads up it most certainly voids warranty.
Also if your GPU temps are 60's I doubt the paste is what's causing your heating concern.

You mean the stock paste is causing cpu heating issue and if i change it would fix that
Also should i change to thermal grizzly conductonaut or ic graphite,i just came to know about that from your video

I think that if your GPU is cooling properly it's most likely not a paste issue and more likely a high performance setting or background programs/apps/AV/torrents/etc running in the background.

Chrome for example has multiple services and task schedules that constantly run when installed that can greatly increase temps all on their own.

if only people gave straight answers and didnt answer with what they settled on. this is a phenomnal idea. i looked into replacing my nitro 5's fans with the predators fans because theyre supposed to be much better. you say it could be a performance issue!? what? im sick of this. i get they heat up more but if i can get great FPS but it runs super hot and changing the fans will help then tell us if we can do it or not. dont give him the run around like you work for acer lol

and to the obvious guy saying this is an "old thread" i can see too, but we have to help find better solutions. a re-paste and cooling pad, possibly not using coolbost because ive now found out it allows the cpu to run full speed but that might not always be optimal etc etc etc... buttttt if using these "aeroblade" or "aeroblade 3d" fans really helps "up to 35% then we should find out. if someone could find a replacement that is legitimate aluminum aeroblade fans then i will replace mine and give an update. my nitro 5 has great performance compared to what i see websites rate it at and sometime im even slightly underclocked just to further its lifespan, not that it matters since i keep running upwards of 89 and even over 90 celsius alot. but even then, the temps can drop within seconds, which leads me to think its getting slightly higher readings wherever they get them from because the airflow design. but yeah, maybe these aeroblade fans will really help, maybe they do zip zilch nada..... hope we can find out!

You won't be able to find aeroblades anywhere for sale haven't seen any so far acer will only provide them for warranty repairs nothing else probably only if u buy a cheap used or for parts predator would u be able to get your hands on those but in the end will all end up on repasting anyway which it's the best solution all 2017/2018 predators have thermal issues apart from the h500
