I bought a new laptop acer aspire 3 315-41g and when I try to download gpu drivers from this website (https://www.acer.com/ac/hr/HR/content/support-product/7600?b=1) the whole screen just goes black.

Please uninstall and reinstall the display adapter driver and check the issue. Right-click on the Start button on the taskbar and then click Device Manager.
Expand Display adapters, Right-click on the graphics card entry and then click Uninstall device option.
When you get the following confirmation dialog, select Delete the driver software for this device check box and then click Uninstall button. Once the driver is uninstalled, reboot your computer once and let windows install the driver.

Uninstall the display adapter driver from Device Mgr. Exit Device Mgr without trying to manually install any display adapter. Reboot. Allow Windows to automatically re-detect and re-install the correct driver. Jack E/NJ

One does not install gpu drivers from device manager..I already did that and its fine, but in device manager it says: microsoft basic display adapter and not radeon vega 3 as it should.

If Device Manager shows no red or yellow device driver warnings and no adapter driver is installed, then the adapter chip is not being detected. Why did you try to update the driver in the first place? Jack E/NJ

If I update them from device manager, amd radeon settings arent installed and I cant configure anything + there is no sign that drivers are installed in control panel.

Since this is a new machine, I suggest you try to re-set the machine to a factory-fresh state using the ALT+F10 cold boot method. Follow the video below. If Device Manager still shows no AMD adapter and no red or yellow driver warnings, then return the machine to the vendor for a refund or exchange. But if the Device Manager does show the adapter is working properly after the re-set, do not try to update it Jack E/NJ

https://imgur.com/a/ZxGsq7s this is what it shows. I installed some drivers but they are wrong because I have radeon 535 and not radeon 530. I downloaded them from amd website for the radeon 530.

Wait. I'm confused. What is the problem then if the screenshots are from your system? Device Mgr seems to suggest that the adapter is working OK. The ACER 535 equipped mainboard is indeed a member of ACER 530 series. What am I missing??? Jack E/NJ

Just delete the Basic Display Adapter from Device Manager, then reboot. It should switch automatically to the Radeon driver. As long as the BDA is there Windows will use it first.

Look, the drivers that ACER provides for the specific laptop SHOULD work. I looked on youtube and other people with same models installed official ACER drivers normally while I cant which means that there is an issue with my laptop.

The driver updates on the ACER site are designed to address problems related to production component variations, defects or driver software glitches. The updates often don't describe function. So, unless function is specifically described, these updates should NEVER be assumed to be designed to improve system performance of what appears to be an otherwise perfectly functioning machine. To do so often results in needless problems or bricked machines.  Jack E/NJ
