Checked out removing hd, memory and lithium battery, does the problem remain? If yes then now is the time for you to fix the notebook under warranty!

Try the reset button again but hold it down for 30 solid seconds then let it sit charging for 10/15 minutes.

If that doesn't work you can attempt opening your laptop (may complicate warranty depending on your location) and make sure the battery is plugged in properly.

Also grab a screw driver and tighten all the screws in the bottom of the laptop.
There is a pressure switch near the RAM bay that needs to be pressed in for the laptop to switch on.

Checked for the pressure switch and tightened the screws , not working , see the issue is the charging light refuses to come up . The charger is perfectly fine giving out what it's supposed to.
  • What is your exact model of notebook? Can you tap a photo of the ram memory compartment?
This may be happening because of the interlock button! It locks the power in the system when the lower case is opened and consequently the interlock button is not pressed correctly!
Usually the interlock button is located in the ram compartment and looks like these buttons:

To solve this, just put a few layers of insulation tape in the ram compartment so that this button gets better pressed!

It's a  g3-572-73PE , the kill switch is not frozen up for sure .
  • Can you tap a photo with ram off the notebook?
It seems to me that this is the power interrupt button:

Put some layers of electrical tape in the compartment that presses this button!

I did not understand when you said "the kill switch is not frozen up for sure"! Sorry, my English is not good!

What I ment is the switch is not stuck in a place , I will try the tape solution , hope it works. But should that affect whether the laptop is being charged , does the switch also disable charging?
  • It will probably affect the battery charge because, as I told you before, it locks the power on the motherboard when it is not properly pressed!

Tape solution doesn't seem to work.

So it is recommended that you use the laptop warranty as it seems to be a hardware problem!
Did you try to update the bios before presenting the problem?

How many kill switches are there inside ,I from what I know there is one in the rambay saying sw2 what if some other switch that needs triggering is not triggered
  • There is only one power interruption button! And usually it's close to ram! At some point, have you opened the notebook yet?

But I would refrain from going further , PS the battery terminals didn't give a reading.
  • Did you try turning on the notebook with the battery disconnected?

    Hi PCIHD
You can try taking the battery out of the laptop for a minute or so, holding the power button down but 15-30 seconds and then, putting the battery back in and attempt to turn it on once more. Some laptops getting with the age get on a bit of a fit with electrostatic stuff, and it has awaken 1 or 2 laptops I've had to deal with but also:

From past experience, such behavior could be leading to a dead motherboard, something has gone wrong, specially when you said you bought a new battery and it did not alleviate the issue. It should be capable of delivering fresh power into the laptop, if its still not turning on, no bother buying a new power adapter as it won't really fix anything.

Your best bet is honestly returning the battery and getting the money back on that purchase before you have a battery laying around that doesn't serve you of anything.

Question: Would you like to add the hard drive from the old laptop to the new one? Permanently? Or would you want to take the data off of the old hard drive and store it in the new one?

I'd personally advise you to take what you need out of the old hard drive because hard drives fail, and since this laptop has had a few years, you're better off saving what you can from the hard drive rather than having to find out afterwards that the hard drive died.

As for taking the data off of the laptop, you can get "external HDD enclosures" compatible with 2.5" drives, of which you then use to install your old hard drive and then plug it into the laptop using a regular USB connection.

They can be found really cheap on websites such as Amazon, Ebay and local stores may have them as well.

The battery is same which came from the factory , and it's barely 7 months old my machine so age ain't a issue
