no display using display port

Hi, my monitor is a xb241h. I was previously using it on my predator 15 laptop via display port and was just working fine, both g-sync and overclocking it to 180Hz. Now i built a gaming rig and it can't display anything when I am using a display port. Now currently using HDMI only. I even tried using my predator 15 on it again and it ain't displaying anything when I use the display port. Anybody who has any idea on how to fix this? Badly need help.

    Hi @poldo1474,
    if it was working before and now its not working. try changing the dp cable. Also in the monitor menu option try to change the settings to auto or to display port option. So that it will recognize the Dp. hope it will work.

    already tried changing the dp cable but it is still not working. Already changed the monitor setting to dp. also XB241h has no auto detect in its input menu. i am thinking that this is an issue with the monitor itself. this is the 2nd time that has happened to me. last year is when i cranked up my monitor to 100Hz or more a white horizontal line appeared and when i had it checked at the shop i bought it they RMA it. After almost 2 months of waiting they said that acer will replace it with a new one  as it was still on warranty. so the monitor i am using right now is the one that was given to me as a replacement. now after almost 1 year of use a problem comes up again. i am thinking that it is again a problem on the monitor itself. thanks for your time.

    You are correct. monitor is a plug and play device and its not having much settings on it. every monitor will have 3yrs warranty. check with the Acer they might help you again if its the same issue. Good luck.
