I sent mine back to acer, including detailed description of the fault (and that the fault is not permanent but nevertheless very annoying and they should not send the device back with the message "no harware fault found") AND the message that they have to DO something since their own acer forum is full of postings concerning this problem!

Some friendly customer care bloke contacted me to ask if they could collect my phone and send it to their research centre for deeper analysis of the problem. If they cannot find any harware cause, I suggested them to write a software update to make the long keypress home button function optional or to simply disable it.

In my case, the problem seemed to get worse when low on battery capacity (< 30 %), and the 'screen filter' application seems to ease the pain a little bit.

    (it's a nice phone though - I'm missing it)

I should get it back this week or next week - will keep you informed about what they did.

    Hello leblond, and welcome!

The Acer Community is a global peer to peer support forum where users share their experiences and expertise with Acer products.

Because of the multi-national nature of our community, we ask that users post in English, as that is the most common language to all users. By doing this, our members are more likely to get a response to their question, and those answers will be available to the entire community as a resource.

    Thanks!
