    Hi,
    Yes, you can install a M.2 SATA SSD or a NVMe/PCIe M.2 SSD up to 256GB capacity(Recommended).

It has an M.2 slot for SSD, but I don't know whether it is NVMe(PCIe) or SATA. If it is SATA you can still install NVMe SSD, but it will run at SATA 3 speeds.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

    Does it support optane memory

    Hi,
Go to BIOS settings, move to Main tab, click SATA mode, if you find the option RST with Optane, then it may work, I haven't tried it, so unable to guarantee that it will definitely work.
