High CPU Temp in Modern Games

I'd played Far Cry 4 and 5 and Battlefield 1. And the cpu temp hovers between 80c and 90c. It usually stays at 80c and will go to 83c and 86c and very rarely spike to 90c for a second. I can play Fallout 4 fine. The cpu temp is around 70c. I am already using throttlestop and followed the Helios 300 temp video. Is the temp normal for the games? Will lower the graphic setting and frame rate lower cpu temp?

    Are you enabling Vsync while playing? CPU temp is definitely a little high you can enable Vsync if you haven't already and see if it helps. If you have enabled Vsync and it still at those temps I would look into undervolting your CPU next. . Normal temps are anywhere from 60c-90c depending on a number of factors including the ambient temperature of the area/room you are in.

    V-Sync is enabled. I am undervolting using throttlestop. My room is regular temperature at like maybe 70 f. And I am using a cooling pad that has 5 fans and elevates my laptop off by like 4 inches.

    According to me the CPU temp of your unit is not very bad, but still it depends on the games you play

    ehh, 90c seems like something is going to burn out in the laptop. anything above 80c sounds very bad for long term use

    Technically these CPUs are designed to run at 90 C... and will outlast the rest of your hardware even at those temps.

    That being said, I personally don't like temps in the 90s either lol.

    The video didn't help.
    I am guessing that Far Cry 5 is just a demanding game. My fps would drop once in awhile for like 4-6 seconds. The gpu cooling is perfectly fine. Acer needs to improve the cpu cooling.

    Use throttle stop turn the voltage down to -125 on the cpu and click on the Fiver button I think it is and change your speeds down by 2. Mine was hitting 96 to 98c after I stay in the 80s mostly and on occasion the low 90s but I turned the turbo up a bit .

    Make sure to lower your on board video and gpu by a bit as well. The turbo limits is what really changed 
    Mine adjusting the voltage barely did anything I can't wait till my warranty is over so I can repaste and put in a nvme m.2 Samsung 960 I'm about to buy in .
