My Aspire 3 Ryzen 5 (A315-41G-R4BW) won't use the dedicated gpu Radeon 535

Hello! Title pretty much says it all but I'll expound.

When I play games my laptop won't use the dedicated gpu in this screenshot I'm playing Dota 2, but I've also played GTA 5 and the results were the same.

    DOTA2 & GTA5 and older games are notorious for not seeing and/or switching the newer discrete gpus under Win10. Has nothing to do with your machine hardware but more the inability of these 5+ year old games to properly enable the new Win10 hardware drivers. Jack E/NJ

    After installing the recent windows update, I was able to play games with the dedicated gpu now. When I didn't install the update yet the gpu won't run even if I connect the power cable.

    If the GPU won't run without the cable, check you power plan settings in Control Panel to make sure everything including GPU is set to high or maximum performance when plugged in. Jack E/NJ
