The specs for my system show 2 M.2 interfaces. There is no mention in the manual to add additional drives. As far as I can tell there is only one M2 slot. Has anyone added such card and if so where is the additional slot? Is there a service guide available? 128 GB is way too small.

    Hi,
You have 2 M.2 slots, one is for your WiFi card and the other one for installing M.2 SATA SSD, it's beside CMOS battery, yes 128GB is too small and I would suggest you to get a 256GB drive.

Thanks. So used to seeing a separate WiFi port didn't think that it could be removed to use a second drive.

You can't remove your wifi card and install a second SSD in the wifi M.2 slot.
    I'm not an Acer employee.

I just purchased a 500 gb SATA SSD, where do I find the original 117/128 GB SSD in order to replace it ?

I have the same model of ACER

GX-785-EB11, but mine came with the 117/128 GB SSD

(It might be the 128 GB drive but it only ever allows 117GB of data)

Here's the board layout, the SSD connector is #3.
The 120 vs. 117 GB thing is pretty much marketing being allowed to not act as programmers. The official definitions of 1K=1024, 1M=1024K, 1G=1024M, 1T=1024G are standard in the computer programming world, and Microsoft uses that when displaying drive sizes. The manufacturers of drives use 1K=1000, 1M=1000K, 1G=1000M, 1T=1000G. So your 117GB partition is a bit over 125GB for the marketing people.
