I have an Aspire E5-573G-34G5 that has a 1366*768 TN panel, and I recently discovered, that it is quite easy to upgrade, almost easier than upgrading the hard drive. I've found some stuff online, but nothing on my exact laptop version (34G5). My assumption is that all 573G screens are the same, so I could pick up a 1080p IPS screen listed for the 573G and it should easily go into my laptop with no problems. Does anybody have any suggestions? Will it fit as long as it has 4 mounting screws and a 30 pin header? Would this one work https://bit.ly/2wo34wf?

    Hi,
You can install a FHD screen but go for a good brand screen, like AUO, BOE or a LG panel, I wold avoid the screen link you posted from ebay, the seller has not mentioned about the brand and it means cheaper compatible screen which may be of low quality.
So, I would suggest you to look for these models and get the confirmation from the retailer that you will get exact model and not any compatible screen.
You could also avoid getting a TN panel and select an IPS panel but it's up to you.

So hold on, as I understood from what you sent me, I can mount basically any 30pin, bottom right connector, 8 mounting holes, 15.6-inch screen and it doesn't have to be advertised as compatible exactly with my model? Btw, the model I sent you is advertised as IPS and as an official replacement part...

Yes, that's correct, the above mentioned screens and many other screens are compatible with your laptop, yes it's advertised as IPS screen but it's a compatible replacement screen for Original equipment Manufacturer, it could be any cheap low quality screen but it's up to you to decide, believe me I have burnt my fingers in the past, so be careful when you buy online.

No, I completely agree with you about the questionable retailer, so I am currently looking online at some good 1080p IPS panels, but they all use eDP with 2 lanes, while my screen is only 1 lane eDP. Could there be any problems with that? I've read that there are no 1080p screens with 1 lane connector.

Your cable is compatible with both types of screen( 2lane and 1lane), so it' won't be a problem.
