Other users have similar issues on similar machines but only the DOTA2 game. Thus I don't recommend making any system, driver or firmware changes to try to resolve this because it doesn't seem to be a problem with other media-dependent apps and games. But I do suggest that you join and post this exact same issue on the DOTA2 technical support forum to get their recommendations. https://dev.dota2.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23 Then let us know what they think before making any changes to your E15. I tried running dota 2 on the integrated hd. it did not freeze at all. im guessing its the gpu. cause i also tried running gpu bench mark on the mx 150 and laptop froze like how it does when i run dota 2 on mx150.

Open Control Panel. Search restore point. Do you see a WinUpdate restore point about this time? If not, open Device Manager. Is there a rollback option available for the display adapter? Jack E/NJ

roll back driver cant be clicked. I updated the driver through geforce experience. But I already tried manually installing the stock driver from acer.com which is older version and it didnt help either

If no WinUpdate restore point, then uninstall the driver. Don't manually re-install anything. Exit Device Mgr. Reboot and let Windows re-detect the adapter and auto install the driver. Then redo the benchmark test again --- NOT DOTA2 --- a few times to see if you can make it happen again. If you can make it happen again with the benchmark test, what temperatures are you seeing? gpu temp is 40-50 but cpu temp ranges 50-65 at times reaches 75

Temperatures seem normal so probably no problem. What about benchmark test after uninstalling driver?   Jack E/NJ
