Is the battery in the Aspire 1 A114-31 removable or not?. battery amber light was flashing which i have never seen it do that so plugged it in and amber light is not flashing and it says its charging but half an hour and its moved from 22 % to 23 % so if battery isn't removable then what is next step. Bought this new from Argos around december time.

Hi, The battery in Aspire A114-31 laptop is sealed one and not a removable. The battery light has certain description & behavior as mentioned below:-

Blue On: The battery is fully charged (With AC power connected)
Orange On: The battery is charging
Breeze Orange (1 sec on/3 sec off): The battery is at low level.
Blinking Orange (1 sec on/1 sec off): The battery is at a critical level (less than 3%) or in an abnormal situation.

As a work around, recommended to connect the adapter to different wall outlet and check. Also ensure that adapter charging port fits in tightly & correctly in to the charging port of laptop. As a final try, check charging the laptop with different adapter. If still negative, get in touch with Acer Technical Support in your region.

Thanks for the reply B. Really helpful... Well this is an update from 1st post i done a battery reset and removed/reinstalled the ACPI Driver via device manager and restarted laptop it was on 23% for 1/2 hour so went and watched telly came back an hour later not expecting much but was surprised battery was 100% and amber light is not flashing. I have used laptop today for an hour and battery level is 90% so don't know whats going on. Will be keeping an eye on things to see if orange light reappears and starts blinking. Any ideas on what i should check/test to see if i can get to the bottom of this??. BTW i am using battery power and have 1 blue light on - i take it that's ok
