I
try to install/dual boot linux on this laptop, however linux won't
recognize the drive as it's in RAID 0 (intel RST). And the BIOS locked
the configuration from switching to AHCI (more than 3000$ and this is
what I get). You could read more about it here.
Now
my better chance of running 'real' OS (not VM) is by boot it from
external drive. However, all the USB A is 3.0! To get the fastest speed
as possible, I want to utilize the USB-C Thunderbolt port. However
reading some article online I'm not sure if it can boot from USB-C. Lenovo laptop have this issue before.
Currently
I don't have a USB-C SSD yet, planned to get Samsung T5 if this method
is feasible. Anyone with Triton tried this before?
Cheers!
