Still have to pay for shipping when under warranty??

I have a new spin 3 that now won't turn on after spontaneously crashing for the 10th time in 6 months since purchase. This also appears to be a known issue looking through the history of acer posts. Not to mention the two screws on the bottom that somehow fell off on their own. Now to repair such a shoddy product under warranty I still need to pay shipping? Never buying an acer product again.

    Have you tried to reset the machine to a factory-fresh state yet using the ALT+F10 cold boot recovery method to rule in or rule out a hardware issue? Jack E/NJ

    Yes, but like I said the computer won't turn on. Nothing shows on the screen even though the keyboard lights work.

    With the charger plugged in, press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds to make sure the system is off and not somehow stuck in hibernation. Then try to turn it back on. If still no joy, does your particular spin3 model have an HDMI port with which you can check the video output to a TV screen? Jack E/NJ

    Sorry to hear your having issues, We are always  whiling to help our customer/users and will like to help you with your Spin 3 unit that would not turn on. The Acer warranty is a "1 Year Limited: Parts & Labor, Mail In or Carry In" meaning that the computer has to be taken or mailed to our facilities for repair for diagnostic if any issue is reported calming to be a possible manufacture defect. Please read, Page 4 under section 6. Instructions for Obtaining Warranty Service.

    Please keep in mind that (Diagnosis & Warranty) the warranty of your equipment is subject to the result of the physical inspection performed at the Service Center.
