It has been a long time the issue is bothering me. As the title states, every time when I turn on my laptop that is with Win 10, the keyboard seems to be disabled and cannot work as I need to enter PIN. Even if I use the soft keyboard with mouse, it can enter the system but the keyboard still cannot work. Then I need to reboot the laptop, the keyboard becomes working. 
I have updated all the drivers in the laptop but the problem still cannot be solved. It is not likely it has some physical problems. So is there some solution to this problem? Thanks.

    It is Aspire V7-581PG.

    Try uninstalling the keyboard from Device Mgr. Exit. Then reboot and allow Windows to automatically re-detect the keyboard and re-install a keyboard driver. Jack E/NJ

    Hi, Thanks. Just tried that, but this does not work. Keyboard is still not working after turning on laptop.

    It was Win 8, then upgraded to Win 10. This problem just occurred after the automatic upgrade to Win 10.

    Yeah, you answered my next question. Looks like another annoying Win10 quirk. What updated drivers did you try and from where did you get them? Jack E/NJ

    All the drivers have been updated from the drivers' original providers. But no changes to this problem.

    Not from this site. But it seems the drivers are 2015, not the up-to-date and also provided by the official vendors. Should I download and install each of them?

    Yes. These are ACER-specific Win10 drivers for your particular model, not mfr generics. I would however strongly advise that you make a backup of your system as it is now before attempting to change all the drivers. Jack E/NJ

    Hi, I have reinstalled all the drivers from the website. Except IRST (Intel® Rapid Start Technology) Driver that was denied as it's said it cannot be applied to the platform. However, this still does not solve the problem.

    Since you originally had Win8, try installing the 2013 Win8 IRST version. If that's also denied or doesn't solve the problem, try installing the same Win8 version but in Win8 compatibility mode. Jack E/NJ

    maybe update the bios to latest version? Please keep in mind that Acer's tools don't show that a bios update is available.
