anyone seen a vid on how to disassemble the Predator 17, access the memory installed on the MB (I understand it is under it) and replace it for upgrade?

Thanks

I guess the main question now is there any screws hidden under something that would prevent me from lifting off the mother board once I pull the connectors?

What is your full Predator 17 model number G9-7??? On the g9-793 it only requires removing a bottom panel.  Jack E/NJ

Sorry, the memory I am talking about is between the motherboard and key-board.

Yes, I used the G9-793 only as an example. You still haven't revealed your full model name and number? G9-???? or some other in the G series Jack E/NJ

Then I'm not sure what kind of memory you're referring to???? I'm referring to the DDR4 ram memory modules. Jack E/NJ

Trying to get to the two 8gb MCs without taking Mother-Board totally apart.

You shouldn't have to take the mainboard apart!!!! The modules should be right behind panel on bottom of laptop. Just remove two screws, lift panel and replace modules as circled in red in my earlier post above  https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/575775/#Comment_575775

See pics above...the two Memory Chips are UNDER the motherboard and not replaceable  from the panel under the laptop....you have to get under the motherboard where the 2-8GB memory cards are located...

Sorry. Your mainboard picture is labelled bottom view. Did you actually try to remove the screws and open the panel on the bottom of the laptop to see what's on the bottom of the mainboard? Jack E/NJ

yes......and the MB I need to swap are not directly accessable. This is my first time trying to upgrade a laptop...so very cautious doing anything beyond opening the little bottom panel and the back cover.....

This is strange. Can you post an image of what you see after removing panel 3 on the bottom? Jack E/NJ
