Can the dvd drive be changed for a blu ray combination drive to my Acer TC-780 i7?

I understand that my pc now houses a very slim, almost laptop type dvd drive, and it's working ok. I have read about that a further drive is difficult to fit, so if a combination type drive can be fitted in the existing one's place, that would be good. Is this possible please?

Yes you can, but there's a limited range of Blu-Ray drives that fit the bay correctly. You'll need a 9.5mm slot drive,
Assuming that your internal SuperDrive still works acceptably, it might make more sense to buy (or assemble) an external Blu-Ray player, and connect it through USB. Also, the freeware application VLC is a perfectly adequate Blu-Ray player.

Thank you, it's just that I find the dvd drive basic and it seems as if it's a laptop type that's been fitted. I'd really like to change/upgrade it
