cant figure out what is wrong. Is it some hardware problem with the machine? I have already surpassed the return period in flipkart, and would be travelling abroad in a week. Desperately need this machine while working.

please help.

Acer predator helios PH315-51 model.

regards

Hi, if your computer has been update to build 1803 and your ssd  is an Intel ssdpekkw256g7, well that could likely be the problem as it has been proven that these Intel ssd are not compatible with built 1803, causing crashes above all  when unplugged.
Microsoft blocked the update (actually, after the damage was already done!).
The only way to resolve the issue is to roll back to previous build (1709) if you are still in the 10 days, to operate a factory reset , or recover if you have a backup or recovery media usb. all that, waiting for  the next patch-fix from Microsoft.
    Hope this helps.

Your ssd is an hynix brand, the issues seem to be related to Intel and Toshiba ssd, so theoretically yours should  be ok but who knows if other brands could be affected...

Update: Windows update ssd fix it has been released  (it,s related to Intel and Toshiba ssd issues, when pc is working unplugged, as freezing and crashing, but who knows if other brands are being affected), it,s called KB4100403 , you can install it trough Windows update, then to be sure that it has been installed, you have to go to control panel/installed programs/installed updates, it should appear in the list.
    I hope it helps!

Did the update, but not the one you mentioned. This issue is still not fixed.

The update worked for me, but in your case, it seems likely an  I5/I7  8th gen
    Intel proccessors related issue.
