I recently got this laptop and ended up returning it due to the dull/dim screen. I found on a website it has 200 nits of brightness, a little below laptop average.

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-i5-8250U-GeForce-E5-576G-5762/dp/B075FLBJV7/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1

So, does anyone know a laptop just like this but with a slightly better screen?? For the price, budget, and specs I loved this thing but the display was just too dim for me...

I'd even buy this EXACT model again if it could support a slightly brighter display. Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

    Hi,
These models come with mostly TN panels such as  N156HGE-EAL , N156HGE-EAB and  B156HTN03.8
I would suggest you to replace the screen with a IPS screen yourself, replacing is not very difficult, for example, BOE, AUO and LF  IPS screens are very good replacement screens. I have compared few screens for you to consider, it seems to be the solution for me.

    Hey,

Thanks for the feedback man, appreciate it. I may consider trying it with the B156HAN01.2!

Are you aware if there may be a better, yet compatible upgrade over this one? All 30 pin screens should fit this model, right?? The extra 50-100 nits from the B15 still sounds awesome.

    Thank youuu (:

I think the previous poster must be confused with the previous generation of this model, the E5-575G. The B156HAN01.2 upgrade for this model is well-documented online.
In fact, the E5-576G model comes with a very adequate IPS panel with ample brightness, as can be seen in this (excellent) in depth review by the YouTube channel Tech Deals here:

The screen in your particular laptop must have been a defective unit.
As of yet, there does not seem to be any documented screen upgrade for the E5-576G online. Although it could be the case, it is not safe to assume that the screen in the 576G is backwards compatible with the one in the 575G, they could be using different connectors. Someone needs to open one up and post their findings online for us to get a confirmation.
