hello all!

we’ve had a C22-760 from new last Christmas and have been experiencing an odd graphics issue with it.  When booting Windows 10, the initial boot screen (with acer logo) is green stripes instead of black!  This doesn’t always happen but when it does, a reboot doesn’t fix it.

it doesn’t seem to be a hardware fault as the Windows 10 sign-in screen is ok, although the desktop wallpaper does show odd pixelation and any windows that should be black (like a command prompt) are also green!

tried installing the drivers from Acer’s site but the problem remains...

any ideas?

thanks

Let's try a simple power reset. Disconnect the power cord. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Power On the device and check the issue. You can also check the current BIOS version installed on your device and update the same from Acer support website. Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution.

    Hi there!

that didn’t work I’m afraid, and it seems like the BIOS is up-to-date as the 2018 release won’t apply (Rom ID mismatch)

    anything else i can try?

Please go to the BIOS screen and stay there for 2 to 3 minutes and check if it displays green stripes instead of blue screen.
To activate the BIOS Utility, press Del key as soon as you power On the device, during when Acer logo is prompted on the center of screen.

If the screen displays green stripes or show odd pixelation, it could be an hardwre issue. Please contact Acer support in your region to check for further options to send in and resolve the issue.

    Hi

Yes, if I go to the BIOS screen, the screen is still stripy.  We'll take it back to the shop we purchased it from to see if they can help out.  Thanks anyway!
