Hi, You can create a backup on a USB flash drive to reinstall Windows 8.1 on your system. You can use this drive to reinstall Windows or diagnose problems if Windows fails to start. You will need a 16 GB or larger USB drive.

Use the following steps to create a USB Recovery Drive using Acer Care Center:

    1. Click the Start Start menu.
    2. Click All Apps.
    3. Click the Acer folder, then click Acer Recovery Management.
    4. Click the Backup tab.
    5. Click Get Started to the right of Create Factory Default Backup.
    6. Insert a 16 GB USB drive into your system.
    7. Make sure there is a check in the box next to Back up system files to the recovery drive and click Next.
    8. Select the drive you wish to create the USB recovery drive to and click Next.
    9. Click Create.
    10. Click Finish.
