Hi Acer Community,

I've owned an Acer Aspire R7-572 for 4 years or so and it has been great until the Windows 10 update. Suddenly the keyboard stopped working. I looked this up online and there seems to be a large group of people that seem to be upset about this. It sounds like it's a compatibility issue with the Standard PS/2 keyboard and Windows 10. I tried talking to Acer Support but they send me over to a 3rd party service company who requires me to pay $79.99 to do a "full diagnostic" of the computer... The issue is clearly Acer's fault for not having the proper drivers that are supported by the latest Windows 10 software. It's been terrible dealing with Acer and their 3rd party support company. All I want is for my keyboard to work. Please help. Thanks!

    Hi@Bmcewen449

    >>>Please check the issue by updating the keyboard driver, open Device Manager from the Win + X Menu. Now under ‘Keyboards’, you will find your laptop’s keyboard. Right click on it and select ‘Uninstall’. If you are not sure about your laptop’s keyboard, you can uninstall all the keyboards. When prompted to confirm, click OK.

    >>>Restart your computer after the uninstall. If the problem persists, open control panel from the Win + X Menu.Search Troubleshoot and click on Troubleshooting. Next, click on View all in the left pane.Click and run the Troubleshooter for Hardware and Device. The above Troubleshooter may be able to Fix Keyboard Not Working

    >>>On your PC desktop, click the Action Center icon in the lower-right corner and click All settings. Click Ease of Access. Click Keyboard. Ensure Filter Keys is OFF, and close the window.

If your computer does not allow you to do it from the normal boot, you can try it from "Save Mode"

Was there a solution to this? This is the exact issue I've had since the update, same model, keyboard not working, but 3,e,d & C do.  This computer had become a backup, so ive just been using the touchscreen keyboard when needed - but now really need to figure this out so my husband can use it.
