Hi all,

I have 2 Acer H277HK white backed monitors. They state from the serial #'s i pulled from the OSD that both are the exact same model # H277HK that supports HDR. I have hooked up a Playstation 4 PRO to each of them and can't get HDR to come on. It says my device doesn't support it. I also looked at the manual on the site and the option that it says in the OSD should be there isn't actually there.

Any advice here?

Hi, I experienced same issue and upon researching it and I found that PS4 and PS4 Pro are capable of HDR. However, you’ll need to make sure you’ve updated the firmware to 4.0 or higher. If you believe that firmware is up to date.... Make sure your console is connected to an HDMI 2.0a/HDCP 2.2-compliant port on your Acer monitor.

Acer monitor having HDR feature takes the mode automatically when compatible device is connected. You can use the OSD menu to select the HDR mode. Refer to following image to get into Advance option and select mode.

I have a valid cable as it supports 4k resolution and is a HDCP 2.2 compliant cable. I'm on the 5.55 version of PS4 PRO. Sadly the OSD on the ACER H277HK does not have the HDR option. :(

I ended up just going and buying a Samsung OLED 4k HDR tv, better than wasting my time with these monitors :expressionless:
