Hello guys, just 3 days since i got this laptop.
The second day i haved  the problem that the laptop is turning OFF with battery 50%, even 80% more or less, and unplugged.
I restarted the battery and the problems are over. But now i have the same problem. The laptop shut down with no reason :(

Im so dissapointed of this laptop! Cant believe it.
Someone can help me? what can i do? Is the laptop with factory defects?
My father buyed this laptop for Amazon in USA. I live in argentina. I have warranty?

(edit) I think i dont have problems with the temperature. For example, now im looking netflix and the laptop turned off with 60%battery.
Thanks you so much for your atention

Go to Advanced Power options and check whether battery settings are similar to mine(snip). If not, change them  and try.

    Hi,

I just get the Helios predator 300, I'll been using it for a weak. And is presenting one problem.. when I turn it on just get to the loading screen (predator logo), and then nothing happen. I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds and reboot the computer so I can get to windows..

Did someone knows how to fix this problem?

Hi there, I created an account just for this. I got my predator 6 months ago and had the same problem which you had. I got it replaced and the new unit had the same shutting off issue you had. I have found a solution. Over time the screws at the back of you predator loosen. This makes the little button which disconnects the battery from the mains malfunction. To fix this you simply have to tighten the screws at the back of your laptop. Be careful not to over-tighten it though. Keep in mind you will have to this again within 3-6 months as it will loosen again. I know you may have gotten it replaced or a new laptop from a different brand altogether, but this is mainly for others who may google this problem looking for a solution.

Reboot and hit F2 to enter the BIOs (you might have to spam F2 like a video game) then when in BIOs hit F9 to default it then F10 to save and exit.

    I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
I PURCHASED IT FROM AMAZON USA BUT.
I FACED IT FOR LIKE FIRST 3 MONTHS BUT NOW ALLS GOOD.
NOW ANOTHER PROBLEM HAS STARTED WITH THE SPEAKERS.
SPEARKS STARTS TO BLUR OUT BUT ONCE I RESTART MY LAPTOP IT DOESNT HAPPEN.
I DONT THINK THERES ANY PROBLEM WITH MY SPEAKERS CAUSE EVEN WHEN I USE MY EARPHONES IT HAPPENS TOO.

I had the same problem. Turned out the issue is kind of stupid all because of a switch that Acer has put in the RAM door. If the RAM door flexes especially on battery power the power gets cut automatically. If you put a piece of tape on it, it works like normal again.
