What is that Battery Rest Hole Do

I see Back on My laptop a Tiny hole with battery sign what is it and how its possibly advantage on laptop im not expert then why i just ask someone can enplane about this

    It will reconnect the internal battery when you remove the PIN. It simulates removing and reinstalling the battery.
    You need to remove the back cover and physically disconnect the internal battery cable from the mainboard before service.

    This process will temporarily disconnect and then reconnect the internal battery. To reset insert a small paperclip in the battery reset pinhole. Hold the reset button for 4 seconds.

    so that's mean i just need to disconnect battery before remove back cover for service ?
