I downloaded bios for acer aspire 5310 from the acer site
and executed the exe file as it says in the read me file
my computer kind of got stuck and I was like what's up?
So I went ahead and unplugged it, you know like shut it down the easy way ......

This turned to tears after I turned on my computer again and all it does is light the
power button and fan runs hard, nothing else. I feel bad that I wasn't patient, someone help me get it back I really miss it and affording another is big time trouble, someone please.

What problem were you trying to fix by installing the firmware? Jack E/NJ

OK. Do you find DOS & Windows subdirectories in the unzipped file? If yes, what files do yo find in each subdirectory? Jack E/NJ

OK. You'll be using the BIOS.WPH file. Google "phoenix bios reccovery" with the quotes. Follow directions in bios mods to make a bootable flash stick. After you make the stick, completely shut off the machine by pressing and holding the power button. Then remove the charger. Then press and hold the FN+ESC keys. Then while still holding FN+ESC, re-insert the charger. Then while still holding FN+ESC, turn the machine back on. Don't let go of FN+ESC till you see significant LED activity on the USB stick. Woops!
It woun't work yet, I have tried it on all usb ports and given it not lesss than 30 minutes on each try, It does enter the recovery mode but nothing seems to happen. Should I change the drive am using or is there a different way to handle it?

And Thanks a lot for helping me.

    >>>It does enter the recovery mode >>>

What do you mean by "recovery mode"? Do you actually see a recovery screen? Jack E/NJ
