Received Acer Swift 3 (aka SF314-52-557Y or NX.GNUAA.001) from acerrecertified.com and would like to share a list of issues the 'Factory Refurbished' laptop has from the box.

Quick googling revealed that at least some of this issues are pretty common among this models and are described by community.

- fan noise. As something is touching the fan blades
- one loudspeaker doesn't work. It produces quite scrambled noisy sounds instead of music.
- fingerprint reader doesn't work out of the box. Windows Hello reports that it doesn't recognize me

All of this issues are so evidently that I'm in doubt if anyone in refurbished dept even touched this laptop before placing it in the new box.

Will see if I'll be able to fix any of this issues...

Have a couple of things from the refurbished shop. Worst issues I've had was a need to reload Windoze but do not have any with fingerprint readers and use a headset. Usually have to spend a day to get everything sorted but could say that about any device.

Think these are the parts you need. May need to verify with Acer.

    SU4EA Speaker L&R 23.GNUN5.002
    FINGERPRINT FFC CABLE 50.GNUN5.003,
Finger Print sensor LTT ETU801 module NC.22011.002

    FAN 75*75*5.5 mm//FORCECON/0FJHL00009 23.GNUN5.001

I'm not sure how a 90-day warranty repair or exhange would be handled thru an intermediary like Bayshop, but I wouldn't spend too much time trying to fix these issues. Jack E/NJ

I hope I will not spend too much time either)

Took off the fan and speakers, tested them separately - need to replace both)

Now am looking for a good place where I could source this spare parts from)

@padgett thank you for the support!

I would like to say that I had a pretty nice feedback from the Acer's support team as well.
Was offered to return laptop for change or repair and, since it's not an option for me, received help with figure outing necessary part numbers and re-sellers I could source them from.

I appreciate it. That was helpful.

I have a refurb Swift 3 from Best Buy, and I've had intermittent issues with some keys not working.

@Gravyb Uninstall the KB driver from Device Mgr. Exit. Then cold boot the computer and let Window automatically re-detect and re-install the KB driver. If that doesn't work, return the machine to BestBuy for a refund if within their return policy period. Jack E/NJ

If the keys that don't work are in a line (like 3efv or 6yjm) it may be a loose key board cable on the motherboard.
