Hi

For some reason an icon showed up that allowed the change of internal display resolution.  I didn't think much of it and I increased the resolution. And I have been suffering from flickering problem ever since. I would see the screen resolution icon when I login and log out, but clicking on doesn't seem to activate it. I tried to change it through chromebook settings but it didn't allow me to change the internal display resolution. All it allowed me to do was bloat up the screen to a certain percentage. Increasing this didn't get rid of the flicker since the internal resolution is still at a higher number.
I tried powerwashing the device but the higher internal screen resolution doesn't change.
Please help to restore its internal display setting to it's factory default.

    Hi,

Please let us know the resolution that was set on this device. as per the specifications this device holds Full HD resolution 1920*1080. If you have selected anything higher than this would create the problem you described.

how have you performed power wash..?

You can create USB recovery media and install the OS. Please follow the steps mentioned in the link below to create one.

I did the powerwash through the Chromebook config.
The current display doesn't show the resolution numbers. Is there a command prompt command that I can use to set the resolution?
I hope I don't have to install the OS.
I currently set the display blowup to 145% and the flicker got reduced.

You can go to settings in the search bar please type resolution and check if it alloea you to set the resolution. Also, check if the magnifier is enabled by any chance if so please disable it under accessibility

I searched for the word resolution in Korean, 해상도 and it goes to that display config.

jkim711 Yes under display config, try changing the resolution and see if the screen still flickers
