Was there a flash drive used for extra space ? If removed that can trigger the error.

Should I just restore to default?  If so, how do I do that?

Or I mean restore to factory settings?  How do I do that?  I think what happened is that Windows download new software and something happened.

    Hi,

I think there is no urgency in resetting the device as reset will erase your data. Please perform system restore.

During power up press alt + f10 buttons simultaneously. Now click on troubleshoot, then advanced options and click on system restore.

Hi Rudy - I've tried all options that show up on the screen.  Everything leads me to need a disc to reset to factory settings.  How do I get that?

@lunajagger if your unit is still booting then you can create a recovery media with help of Acer care centre application. This will allow to create your operating system disc at no extra cost. Post creating one you can reload the operating system.

I would create either a bootable recovery DVD or USB drive, and boot off that to try and perform a system recovery.

If you dont have a second computer available to create a Windows 10 installation media, maybe borrow a friends, have one made, or see your local computer repair shop.
