After updating to windows 10 creators update I have lost touchscreen functionality on my laptop. I ruled out any hardware malfunction by uninstalling the Creators update and reinstalling earlier editions of Windows 10. After reinstalling the OS the touch function returned, I noticed in the device manager, under HID, that there was no touchscreen listed on the creators edition. Is there a new driver for the Intel HD graphics 5500? That's the only thing that I can figure to be wrong with this device. I have tried running windows update and driver booster with no luck finding new drivers. I have also searched Acer's driver section and there is nothing new there. I'm out of ideas, is there any others out there with the same problem? Has anyone figured out a work around for this problem?

Update: It turns out that Windows 10 wasn't the culprit, it was Driver Booster. After a windows 10 reinstall, everything worked great until I used Driver Booster to search for drivers and updated using driver booster. Story short, used system restore and regained touchscreen function. Beware of third party driver utilities.
