Hi everyone, I was doing some testing on my Hard Disk on speed read and saw some weird graphs like this

with a boost around of 350gb, it's some app or program limiting a normal perfomance? because I tried to do the same benchmark in anothers laptops and results always with a line with negative slope

    Hi There,
First of all you shiushoul conoarr your drive threats graph with other computer. Software & Hardware setup won't be the same. Also do not relay on 3party apps which does not provide you exact information. Use process explorer and check the risk usage first. If you find suspecios try running this cokmmnd in admin mode once CHKDSK /F post which restart the PC and check the disk.

@Cajon You are running a 5 year old disk analyser! You need to download and use the latest version. Jack E/NJ

Try doing the test in safemode and see what it looks like, if it looks the same then there is a hardware issue, if it is different then it is a Windows/software issue. Also to confirm this is an HDD not an SSD right?

Checking the hard drive that holds the operating system for speed is an intelligent thing to do as if you have Windows installed on a slow hard drive, it doesn’t matter how powerful the other components like CPU and memory are, the system will boot and load programs more slowly, and lag quite badly while multitasking etc.  The actual hard disk under Windows is determined not only by the speed of the drive’s rotation or memory chips, but several other factors also. Settings such as the mainboard chipset, controller drivers, SATA/AHCI mode and RAID configuration can all have an influence.Try doing the test in safemodeSome tools you can use are listed below
