acer predator helios 300 G3-572 GPU temperatures reaching 85 degrees while playing games

my laptop is just 3 months old and i didnt expect the temperatures to go that high most time people say that the gpu temps stay lower than 80 but my laptop gets upto 85 i use a cooling pad and the fans run at max speed  any help is appreciated should i send the laptop for repasting?

    85C is not high temperature.....you can undervolt your cpu by using throttlestop or you can send it to acer for repasting! have a nice day

    so it will not harm my GPU or anything ?

    85C is fine for cpu and 80C is fine for gpu

    thats exactly my concern man my gpu runs at 85 degrees

    many people have overheating issues with their laptops....the best solution in my opinion is to change the thermal paste..this will give you best result.

    should i do it myself or send it to acer service center?

    Undervolt the CPU, follow the guide at the top of the forum.  CPU & GPU share the same cooling system, this will help to reduce the overall temperature.  If you replace the TIM (paste) yourself you may risk voiding the warranty, Acer will only apply the same TIM as is already in place, which is more designed for longevity than performance.

    if it has warranty then send it to acer otherwise you can do this too..its simple
