Until recent, out of the blue the games became choppy and experienced a lot of stuttering. Even if the game runs at 60 FPS, the experience is not smooth. And Far Cry 5 suffers from tremendous FPS drops and stuttering.
Laptop- G3-572.
RAM- 16GB,
All drivers are updated.
Windows Game DVR is OFF.
Thermals are acceptable a 75-80 'c.

Is there any solution to this?

Sounds like potentially a driver problem, especially if you have recently updated.

I would be inclined to revert to the original driver package from Acer and see how that performs. FWIW my G9-793 is currently on 390.77 (end Jan 2018) with no issue.  I read some comment regarding stuttering after NVidia's Feb's driver update so I've not installed them.

Disable nvidia shader cache in nvidia control panel for far cry 5, I had the same stuttering issue at 60fps with vsync on with GTA 5, csgo after disabling shader cache it maintains constant 60fps
