I have 3 new iconia 10 B3-A40 tablets which I am using for photos. They all worked the same and were fine. I am trying to add some photos to each one using USB but one works fine, the other 2 have error message saying device has stopped working. But can't see why...

Are you trying to transfer photos by connecting a USB flash drive or from a windows computer?
Closed all the apps that are open in the background and then plugged the USB back in and check the issue.
Also, please try using a different cable or usb port if using a computer. Something is causing the phone to stop communicating with the computer. Also, make sure you don't have any power saving features enabled that may be turning of power to the usb port in Windows.

    Thanks for replying.
I'm connecting the usb cable (that came with it) to a windows computer. It says device stopped working check connections, but tried different usb ports and same problem. I can't see any difference between the one that works and the others. I am only using it to display photos so have disabled all apps except gmail. Solved problem by sending images by email, but the reason I chose these tablets over an ipad is that it was easy to transfer by usb.

Since I updated the operating system none of the tablets will import from USB. (I realise now that 2 of them had been updated but the one that did work hadn't) which makes me think this is the reason why. All the cables charge the tablets. The actual error message says Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected. Then another box comes up saying Copying (but nothing happens) I'm hoping that when the next update is due that maybe this issue will be fixed. In the meantime having to transfer by wifi.

the top microUSB port (next to mircoSD card) does NOT work with a OTG/USB thumbdrive.  the microUSB (next to mircoSD card) does not seem to work with a mouse, and does not work with a keyboard.  i think the top microUSB port is a dummy.

the side microUSB port recognizes the OTG/USB thumbdrive.  And the side microUSB also charges the tablet.

i tested on new 2-day old B3-A40-K5UQ, and also tested on 2 other B3-A40-K5UQ at the retail shop.

so what you get is only 1 working microUSB port.
