The dedicated GPU is not being used all the time. It only shows values when it is being used. So, there is no problem, just that is how it works.

You can force the GTX 1060 to run all the time, but it will consume a lot of battery life when unplugged.

You can try to disable the Windows 10 file 'hiberfil.sys' when it becomes active again, the Predator Sense should work perfect.

This could be am issue with update or bug in the application. You may try reinstalling the Acer predator sense application.

I'm having the exact same problem. "Discrete GPU is idle" even though it's not. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not fix the issue. Predator Sense is not reading the GPU at all, even though the GPU is obviously in use, as both the Nvidia panel and HWInfo confirm.

    Hi @varun988
as @Sharanji mentioned, the GPU isn't always running, and it is completely natural to see the idle message on the predator sense. I get it all the time when I'm not playing any games. It's not a problem. Also, can you provide info on your model number?

Update it to the latest, more stable version 391.35 (I think.)

    EDIT: Download it from here
Do a Custom installation and check 'do a clean installation.'

During the Nvidia driver update, you can choose whether to do a custom installation or a recommended installation, and you had to choose the custom option.

Well I have Helios 300 and I had the same issue, the easiest way to resolve this is to go to settings on top right hand side and change the temperature unit. Then restart, This should fix the issue. However, you will have temperature in Fahrenheit. Give it a shot that worked for me
