    Sounds like it does not think you have permission. Are you comfortable using CHRONOS ?

    Assuming you've already tried a reset or powerwash, can you access the drive with another machine's USB port? Jack E/NJ

    Was avoiding having to powerwash the Chromebook and the drive is fine with another machine but I only have a Chromebook

    I don't think powerwash affects a USB drive. Is the drive accessible when connected to a Windows PC or a MAC ?
