Why do I have to pay for broken monitor still under warranty?

I understand if I was out of warranty making me pay for shipping, but my monitor is less than 6 month old and have been having issues that I have troubleshot for months with different drivers(per Acer's request) only to find out now that it is a known issue with the monitor. Now when I actually have to use my warranty, they want me to pay to ship a giant almost 50lb box? Not sure I get the reasoning behind that.

This is taken from the monitor limited warranty which you should've gotten with the machine. https://static.acer.com/up/Resource/Acer/Docs/US/Standard Warranty/PanAm-20140218/20140219/Acer_MON_WTY_DOC_3_YR_MICI_US_CA_MX_LA_46.AD159.003_040213.pdf

    >>>If Acer decides that You need a replacement part(s) or replacement Product, Acer may
require a credit card authorization or other security to receive replacement part(s) or Product
and may require You to pay the cost of shipping the replacement part(s) or Product to You
and the cost of returning the defective part or Product to Acer. Acer will then authorize
shipment of the required part(s) or Product to You.>>>

Sorry. It is what it is. And not unusual among major brands.

No I get that..EVGA however has always sent me a shipping label, as well as Nvidia. Either way, still *****, considering it's one of their "premium products" over $1K, that apparently has less than premium QC for so many of these monitors to have this issue, and I, the customer have to continue to pay for it?
This explains a lot on the forums why people were saying to get the Alienware monitor instead..............................................Not sure why expected anything less.
