    (1) Have you tested the V173 on another desktop or laptop with a VGA port? (2) Do you have an older CRT monitor to test the x360  VGA port? (3)Does the x360 have a hotkey or hotkey combination for toggling the VGA port on and off? Jack E/NJ

It does work with an other computer. No on the crt monitor. No on the hot key.

How old is this x360? The new Pavilion x360 doesn't have a VGA port, only an HDMI port. Are you using an HDMI to VGA adapter? Jack E/NJ

The adapter is the likely issue. What mfr model is it? Jack E/NJ

Sorry about taking time to get back to you. Am at work and have to deal with customers.

Probably a lemon adapter. Try to return it to the store for a replacment, refund or another mfr's adapter. Jack E/NJ
