Hi there,

Bought the Acer aspire ES11 Intel Celeron 4GB RAM 32GB storage for my Dad.
When he set it up it automatically wanted to download Windows 10 update BUT the laptop, which is BRAND NEW didn't have enough storage for the new version.
Can anyone please advise as to what can be done, he has a 32GB USB but we have been informed (by a guy at Curry's) that you can't put the update on the stick. They said that the laptop needs to sent back as its classed as not fit for purpose?? How can that be when it's brand spanking new? I don't really want to go through the process of sending it back so wondered if I could do something to free up the required space. My Dad is a VERY light user and due to physical limitations this little laptop is ideal for his needs.
Thank you so much in advance for any help that can be given.

Mel

You should be able to use a USB stick or SD card for the temporary space needed by the update installer process, not for the update itself. Jack E/NJ
