How do I upgrade Windows 10 and stop my computer from continually failing?

Hi, new here, and terrible with technology. My computer (Aspire One Cloudbook 11) has no storage so I can't upgrade Windows 10. Recently my computer has been losing functions. First, the computer is plugged in and it says the battery is charging but the % is going down bit by bit. Then I lost my Sleep option. Now the graphics are glitchy, the screen got brighter and I can't change it, and my sound doesn't work (no sound at all, streaming music doesn't play, and videos seem stuttery.) I attached an external hard drive to make the upgrade work but it makes no difference. I was told I have a software malfunction, I don't know if that's true. Any advice would be extremely appreciated, thank you.

I took am technically illiterate. I have a cloudbook, it has windows 10 but now I cannot sort out the memory.  I have bought a 16 gb memory but that does not seem to work. I have tried several times today to remove 4.53 MB of unnecessary material, but despite hitting the delete button several times, nothing has deleted. The computer is only a year or so old, AcEr must know that there is an issue iwth memory and windows 10 so what are they doing about it.  Can anyone advise or help?

Is your 16GB "memory" (flash drive ? SD card ?) formatted NTFS ? Is a common problem but unfortunately it is novice computer users that get stuck with these loss-leader devices and it takes a SME to get enough space to make such a device updatable.
