Did this happen suddenly for no apparent  reason? If yes, have you tried to turn the screen back on with the Fn+F6 or Fn+F5 toggle key combo? Or have you tried to HDMI out to a TV? Jack E/NJ

Before you try to flash the BIOS, have you tried any of the earlier suggestions made by me and Padgett? Trying to flash the BIOS before trying these suggestions can brick or disable your machine. To test any of these suggestions, you must completely shut down power to your machine by pressing and holding the power button for at least 5 seconds. Then turn the machine back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key to get into a recovery mode. Jack E/NJ
