Hello everyone. You probably already seen my thread from last year where i moded my Predator G6. There where a few points i was not happy with. So i decided to start from scratch again to do some things better. as sample looking for other cooling soloutions based on water as well trying a different coloring method for the cage of the case and cutting more holes with better accuracy for a better fit for cable management. This time ill do a kind of a blog step by step cause its a more long termed project. Here are 2 pictures out of the older post from my project v.1

Started with ordering a new cage from a acer parts deliverer

Removed the rubbers inside the cage and cleaned the rests with alcohol

I used a small drill to remove this little metal pice we wont need later

And penciled some wholes for cable management based on my first project

ATTENTION: Please take note. What im doing works for my purpose. If you try some of this stuff at home youll probably destroy your machine and loose your warranty !!!

    Thinking about cooling.
With some work on on the cage one of these could be a new cooling soloution for me. Tested with a 120mm AiO

this is the only other picture i have of when i created a custom side pannel for the G6, as I couldnt figure out how to get the side pannel apart, when i made this, i turned that purple fan into an rgb fan by disconecting the purple led's inside and wrapping 2 corsair rgb led strips around it, left a channel inside for where the leads have to go and as i have 4 corsair node pro kits anyway i have already got the channel from the node pro inside the pc to connect it all anyway ... will keep you updated with what the final picture looks like! i fully recomend replacing the red leds in the side pannel for rgb led strips! looks amazing! although it made me angry at acer for not doing this in the first place!g6,
